Use case
Imagine you have a cell phone and your friends and family don’t have one. The phone has limited usability in this case !
It is similar in the CAVAT system. The web application becomes more useful when it is also used by beekeepers who have apiaries in the vicinity of your apiary.
Invite the beekeepers of the neighboring apiaries to participate and use the CAVAT app!
You can collaborate with neighbour beekeepers after you enter data of your apiaries into CAVAT system.
Get location of neighbour apiaries and how many colonies they have, when they plan treatment against varroa or send them a message.
You can also manage records of own apiaries or get weather info.
Intro
After you enter data about your apiary it is possible there will be no neighbour apiaries yet. You will benefit later, when other beekeepers join CAVAT. To demonstrate the operation and benefits, a demo case is prepared where several neighboring beekeepers already have entered their apiaries in the CAVAT system.

When you change location of transportable apiary, just edit apiary data and get in contact with new neighbours !
Beekeepers Cipot, Daneu and Ekar each have two apiaries.

Bajc has entered data for the only apiary, so he has one apiary on the list.
Only apiaries entered in the CAVAT system and less than 3 kilometers from the selected apiary are visible on the map.
The orange color around the apiary shows the distance - the more distant we are, the more translucent the color.
